DRAGON BALL - Mini-Piggy Bank - Crystal Ball

THE Dragon Balls are small balls that can be held in one hand, orange in color and which each have a number of stars, ranging from one to seven.

In the cartoon, before the story began, the Dragon Balls were represented in the form of a single ball that God had offered to bring hope to humanity. But some men tried to steal the Dragon Ball and use it for evil purposes. God then took the Dragon Ball and divided it into seven balls which he sent to seven different locations around the world to make research much more difficultdb_ep 1.

The dragon Shenron was created by Mr Popo via a miniature model and the Almighty breathed life and power into him.

During the first two translations of the manga, there was talk of a masculine Dragon Ball, but the Perfect Edition established that it is indeed a feminine one, also in force in the DVD subtitles. Each Dragon Ball has a name taken from Chinese, which literally means "starry ball" followed by the corresponding number of stars. However, the Chinese transcription being too difficult to pronounce, it is the Japanese transcription of these names which has been preserved: thus, the famous four-star Dragon Ball so dear to Son Goku bears the name of Su Shinchu , taken from the transcription Chinese Si Xing Qiu ( star ball 4 ). Note that the names of the Dragon Balls were omitted from the French version of the television series and from old manga editions. It is only from the translation in the deluxe edition that the balls are transcribed by name for the first time. The only difference between the intermediate translation and the Perfect Edition probably lies in the absence of accent in the latter, to avoid as much as possible the "Japanization" very present in the intermediate edition and to obtain a more natural French version for the final edition.

THE Dragon Balls shine faintly and emit weak electrical waves, which allowed Bulma to design a radar specially designed to detect them and locate oneself in relation to them: the Dragon Radar, named thus by the young girl herself, and which is the expression subsequently used by all the characters to define this special radar.
